The End of English week

SELA Conducted a special debate and drama to celebrate the end of English week for secondary. The debate was between "Bulldozers" lead by Ali Najah Zahir of 9B and "missile" team led by Nja Afeef of 9B. The argument was on 'Which is better? Single sex school or Co-educational school. the debate was won by Bulldozers.

World Health Day Marked

Eco club marked the World Health Day in a special assembly. A speech was given on the theme of the day 'Good health Adds life to years'. The grade 1 students presented a song on 'healthy manners' while student actors performed a drama on the theme of the day. Ajuwad Ameen, Rifga Hashim, Rana Hashim, Shaufa Shareef prformed the act very well.

The school to achieve School Achievement Award

It's time, and history has been made! The school is to achieve this years Top achievers Award and School Achievement Award and it has been confirmed by the Ministry of Education. The April 16th National Top Ten Award giving ceremony will be an important function for all of us because for the first time the school is achieving the School Achievement Award(the so-called 60% award). The results of O level has made a huge leap from 42 percent to 63 percent. 14 students out of all 22 students passed in 5 or more subjects and 4 students are to receive Top Achievers (top 10) award (Salim Saleem, Auf Ali, Rugiyya Waheed, Sadhooh Naseer). Congratulation to all students and teachers. The school Board and PTA is preparing to celebrate the success at a grand level.

Prefects' Inauguration ceremony was held on 1st March 2012. In this ceremony the school captain, Head Prefect, Deputy Captains, Games Captain, and presidents of the clubs and House Captains were awarded their badges and sashes. Moreover, junior leaders and sub junior leaders were awarded their badges. the ceremony was attended by parents and dignitaries. The Guest of Honour was the President of the Island council Ahmed Jameel.

Beginning of Games practice

A special Ceremony was held on 30th March 2012 to mark the beginning of games practice. The students of four houses lined up in the playground with their boards in their respective colours. A special football match was played between a school team and youth team. The match was drawn by 0-0

Earth Hour special evening

The scouts of KSG conducted a procession to bring awareness about the earth hour. awareness leaflets were distributed to people by scouts during the procession. The whole island community joined hand in hand to celebrate earth hour (8.30-9.30) on 31st March 2012.
