GDH AEC and GDH Atoll School join for the indoor camp

Scouts of GDH atoll school and GDH atoll education centre arrive for the 3 day camp planned to be held in the school from 1st-3rd September 2011. A warm welcome was given to the guests and attachments were made scouts to scouts and girl scouts to guides. Parents were present and students of the school were present at the time of the arrival. It gives a great opportunity for the students of the 3 schools for sharing, information, expertise and working in groups to develop their leadership skills through the scout law. We wish all the scouts a very successful camp!

The scout investiture and girl guide enrollment ceremony took place on 31st September 2011. It was a historic day for the school as littlemaids, cubscouts, scouts and girlguides  took oath on the same day in the same ceremony. For the ceremony, leaders Saif Azhar, Ahmed Nasheed and Abdulla Mohamed joined as well as Guide leaders, Mariyam Mirufath and Aishath Zooshan from the guide association were present.

Quran Competition begins

The school annual Quran competition begins on Thursday. Altogether 155 students took part in the competition.

Kolamaafushi Development planning workshop begins

Kolamaafushi development planning workshop conducted by the council begins in GA Atoll School. The workshop involves members from various sectors who are grouped into the proposed development sectors. This includes Education, health, fisheries, environment, transport, trade and so on. The workshop will continue till 15th of August.

Lettuce Harvested

The first product of the hydroponics system installed at school by KOLAMAA has been harvested and sold. About 40 kg was produced totally and it was sold 40 Rufiyaa per kilogram.
