GA Atoll School's 2010 best all round place has been secured by Mariyam Haifa Najeeb of Zameen GA Kolamaafushi. Her excellent overall performance has been commended and appreciated with various presents trophies and shields. Most remarkably, a valuable laptop computer from the Atoll Council, The Mohamed Saeed Kaleyfaanu Award, an RF 4000 worth large trophy by Society of Kolamaafushi Youth, KOLAMAA award, Women's committee award, school award and trophy and an award by GA Kolamaafushi Kaunu Ali Rauf. Unfortunately Haifa was not present in the ceremony and on behalf of her, her mother received all the trophies. The management and the staff congratulate Haifa Najeeb for her excellent performance.

Parents Collected 8500

From some half day work and with merely no physical effort, parents were able to collect Rf8500 to help school activities.

Prize Day preparations!

Preparations are underway for this year's prize Day which will be held on 30th July (Saturday). A Cleaning program was held in the school in which the school teachers, parents and students took part. In addition, on Saturday, wall painting program began and the garden walls are painted by students and teachers.

More Generous Donations!

The Island council has decided to contribute Rf 20000 (twenty Thousand) Rufiyaa to help the Prize Day ceremony. At the same time, Society of Kolamaafushi Youth (SKY), has aided the school through a project of Robinson Club Maldives at Funamauddoo. The Resort paid the school RF 15420 (fifteen thousand four hundred and twenty Rufiyaa) for the plants donated by the parents. Meanwhile Minister of Transport Adil Saleem also contributed RF 8000 to the PTA for painting the school walls. Moreover, the PTA has received money for the Multi media project (installing large TV sets) and renovating classrooms for a more child-friendly environment. For the project, the PTA has received from the Atoll Council a sum of 30,000 (Thirty Thousand Rufiyaa)
